Chop, Saute, Dress...

Parsnips and Rutabaga Mash

​INGREDIENTS:
1 lb Parsnips, peeled and chopped 1 inch thick                                        
1 lb Rutabagas, peeled and chopped 1 inch thick                             
4 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp light brown sugar                                                                                                                         
2 tbsp Half and Half   
¼ tsp cinnamon                                                                                                       
pinch of salt
​pinch of nutmeg
 
INSTRUCTIONS:
Boil parsnips and rutabaga until soft.  Drain vegetables.  Return to pot and mash with potato masher.  Add remaining ingredients and combine well.
